To Sleep, Perchance to Dream
Ah, the sunrise is by the ease of night
But to find thyself seen in vanity
One stresses to find oneself in such plight
Just to get noticed by an entity
Doth you fall forth into an endless void?
Doth you get to hide behind a fair world?
Tell me, is that beyond your avoid?
Will you be last, or first to be unfurled?
Fuss, you might, it eases not in thy mind
Have your mind, it can be in use for you
For you have seen what can be done behind
And you will always see what can be new
Get off your dream, back into life today
Never forget, sleep; to find a new way.
A piece of the past
Still lodged in memory
As deep as the lion's flake
A memory to keep; But taken too fast
A thought forever
Held in the prison mind
As dark as a dungeon cell
A memory to have; But gone forever
A fear of a cost
Taken to light of grief
Cast away the feeling hope
A memory destroyed; A memory lost
Sentiment is there
And taken for granted
Thrown away by greed and lust
A memory wasted; A memory's glare
Confessing; getting one's burden off his chest
Yet not knowing the chance, the odds of the outcome
Tide pools become permanent waves of either of the two;
The burden of ridicule, or the hope of the best.
Informing is not enough, explaining is too much
Just the right words are a slender thread
What you might say, or how you say it
Affects many possibilities as such
Beginnings must be clear,
Endings must be near,
The middle left alone
Yet, to know still the right words
It is not easy to find them
Nor will it always prompt
You will always find your chords
In the end, you will be heard
Your thoughts might change many
Your life might be at eas
You are walking in a field
Not knowing your location, not knowing where you are.
You feel an undying urge to run.
Run from what? You see no threat.
You hear no threat.
Yet, the voice in your head screams "Run!"
You start to feel uneasy,
The unseen threat coming closer, becoming louder
All you can do is feel the urge to run.
The sun goes down, the urge gets stronger
Coming closer
Right now your legs force you to run
No more can you stand still
You run west, you do not stop
You do not look back, you only run.
Obstacles try to stop you
Trip you over
Nevertheless, you continue to run.
You start to feel safe
So you stop to catch your breath
